In 1909, a two-room wooden frame building on Townsend Avenue was built in a picturesque area as part of a rural county school district known today as Alamo Heights Independent School District. While much has changed from our humble beginnings, what has remained steadfast is our community’s high value on the tradition of excellence in educating our children.
In honor of the District’s founding and the steadfast commitment to our children, we have created the 1909 Club, which recognizes donors who give a total annual amount of $10,000 or more to the Alamo Heights School Foundation.
