
Bob Worth, a lifelong member of the Alamo Heights community, attended AHISD schools from kindergarten through senior year. He graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1967 and earned his degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
After working in both the finance and real estate industries, Bob founded his own development company in 1986, Worth Thompson Associates, now known as Worth & Associates. Over the years, he cemented the firm’s specialty in developing office projects. Under Bob’s leadership, Worth & Associates has developed over 3.3 million square feet of office space in San Antonio. In 2018, he transitioned to Chairman of the Board, passing the company’s leadership to his two children, both AHHS alumni. His contributions to the industry have earned him numerous accolades, including the 2009 UTSA College of Business Ethics Award, the 2019 Barshop Founder’s Award, and the 2024 Legacy and Leadership Honor from the Real Estate Council of San Antonio.
Beyond business, Bob has dedicated himself to philanthropy, supporting causes related to education and medical research. He has supported organizations such as the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation, MD Anderson Living Legends, and Texas BioMed. In 2022, K9s for Warriors honored his contributions by bestowing the name “Worth” to its first canine graduate.
Currently, Bob serves as Chairman of the Lake McQueeney Water Control and Improvement District No. 1 and remains an active member of the UTSA College of Business Estate Program Founders Council. Since 2022, he has been an Alamo Heights School Foundation Board Member and was instrumental in launching the Their Future! Endowment Campaign, which has secured over $5.3 million in perpetuity for AHISD.
