Joan Canty is the Director of Major Gifts of The Alamo Heights School Foundation. In this role, she works with current and prospective donors to build support for the Foundation's annual and long-term fundraising initiatives. Joan previously served in senior advancement positions with Texas Wesleyan University, the University of Dallas, Buena Vista University, and Scouting America. She holds a bachelor's degree from Loyola University New Orleans and a master's degree from St. Mary's University. With more than 30 years of fundraising experience, Joan is passionate about the Foundation's work in support of Alamo Heights public schools and academic excellence, with a focus on funding teachers and staff.
