Heather McFarland, Executive Director of the Alamo Heights School Foundation, is a firm believer in public education. She previously served as the Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Association of South Texas. Prior to moving to the San Antonio area, she served as the Executive Director of a public school foundation in the Kansas City area and has over 17 years of fundraising experience. Heather holds a Bachelor’s degree from Creighton University and an MBA from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. Despite graduating from the University of Nebraska, Heather is an avid Michigan Wolverines fan! Her husband Greg McFarland is a professional engineer and they have three children, Elijah, Makenzie, and Abigale. Abigale is a student at the Alamo Heights Junior School.
